Hand Crafted Resin Cabs
I have been having alot of fun lately, experimenting with a new art medium.....Resin! It only makes sense that I would love making these resin cabochons, since they remind me alot of gorgeous dichroic GLASS....only these don't require any heat to make, so they are perfect summer art projects, lol! My Resin cabochons may be transparent, translucent or opaque, depending on the coloring agents, mica powders, embedments, etc that I have used. Each cab is fully cured to a hardened state and given a buffing at the edges to smooth them. Try one...or several.....they are perfect to bead around! Make a pendant, a cuff bracelet, a neck piece, a pair of earrings.....or a set of them all! The translucent and transparent cabochons are incredible used on top of dyed Lacys Stiff Stuff.....just imagine the color possibilities!!! Please note; Pictures just WILL NOT do these Resin Cabochons justice! Each cab must be held in the hand and admired, turned this way and that in the light, to genuinely appreciate it's beauty!! (I find myself doing it alot, they are just so pretty!)
